Gmail in the Classroom

I like the idea of giving out assignments via email.  I'd form a group in my Contacts, then use it to disseminate information.  It would also be excellent for sending out assignments from home if I was away from school for any reason.  Also, students seem more likely to ask questions online than in the classroom.  Gmail could really open up communication, I believe.
