If I had my own classroom, (I am a substitute teacher) I would use the calendar with the group contact feature to communicate and follow up on important dates for both students and parents. This way both groups would be aware of important assignments and tests that are coming up.
I also will email substitute notes to the teachers at the end of the day. This way the teacher can find out at their convenience what happened in their classroom that day (versus waiting until the next morning).
It would be nice if the teacher had their own website that could send to me so I would know what is going on in their classroom and the assignment for the next day prior to arriving in the classroom.
