I am a 3-5 title reading and math teacher. I work with small groups of students on a regular basis. I am not able to use gmail for "traditional homework" but will be able to implement it for book chats that students do in my classroom and in the regular classroom. Currently, the teacher and I accept each others book chats and count them towards the students progress. I plan to put the current fill on document onto a google doc. Our fourth and fifth grade students have computers and a gmail account. I will instuct/teach the students how to complete the doc and attach it to an email and send it to me and their classroom teacher. This will allow a paperless way to keep track of their book chats that they are required to do for fourth and fifth grade.
