We use gmail as a great way to communicate. The Hangout is a great way to have class discussions...a wonderful forum for open and monitored communication between students.
The calendar options enable us to keep organized and plan ahead. Because of the sharing capability, our parents can see everything that goes on without having to share a student password.
The email option is an old standard that is still the best way to get information to families and friends.
