Gmail in the alternative high school setting

While working for the first time with students in our alternative high school , I have discovered that many of our students do not want to ask questions in person. The gmail will be a perfect way to communicate with our students as well as allow the students a comfortable method of communication regarding assignments or even letting us know they want a lunch ordered.
