Gmail in the classroom

As an elementary PE teacher, I see students only twice per week for thirty minutes each. With that, time dedicated to activity and fitness is crucial. So, having the ability to utilize Gmail is very beneficial to my students and me. In our building, 3rd-5th grade students have a gmail account assigned to them that I can use for announcements and ideas for students to continue their learning outside of the classroom. I can reinforce key concepts discussed in class and add pictures or videos for them to better understand skills, games, rules, and activities. I am also the athletic director for the middle school and find gmail especially useful in communicating with students on registration, paperwork, uniform distribution, etc.
