Gmail in the classroom

As a substitute I would be able to use Gmail to communicate with the teacher I am filling in for by sending her/him info on how the day went and any thoughts I may have.  I would also be able to label my emails so past communications could be found if I repeat for a particular person.  By using Gmail I will then have a record of all the emails for past teachers and a record of the days I have subbed for.
