Gmail in the classroom

I am finding the labels and filters features to very handy for organizing my inbox and finding particular emails quickly.  I think the "canned email" feature would be very helpful for sending reminders and assignments - especially for multiple sections of the same class. Sorting students/parents into particular groups in contacts by class or section will be a real time saver.  The chat and video chat tools would be very useful for group projects, allowing students to collaborate from home without having to schedule time and transportation to get together. I will definitely be enabling the desktop notifications and moving my calendar to the left for quick view and access.
