Gmail in the classroom

As a associate I really wouldn't use Gmail in the classroom but if I was a teacher it would be a great way to communicate with parents. I could share on how their child did in the classroom rather they had a good day or a bad day and what they did for the day. It would also be a good reminder to parents when something important comes up or to save the date.
 I can also use Gmail to communicate with the staff and the principle at school to keep them informed on important things.
