I am a current substitute teacher and use gmail to communicate with the school and teachers. Teachers are able to send lesson plans and follow-up during the day while I am in their classroom. I use gmail filters to sort school emails from personal emails. I use labels as well so that I can easily find my substitute authorization emails and follow-up. I also use filters and labels in my personal gmail account to organize information for my childrens sports, community involvement, school information, etc. I would be lost without my gmail labels, folders and filters.
Additionally, when I am teaching and walking around the classroom I help students look for ways to organize their digital workspace.
