Gmail in the classroom

Gmail is extremely helpful in keeping me organized in the classroom. I can easily find the documents I need from other teachers via the labels I've created. The labels also help me keep track of important emails from parents, coworkers, or students. A lot of my students' parents did not speak English in the past, so I'm interested in trying out the google translation device in google labs to see how that helps in communicating with parents in the future. Creating groups within gmail will enable me to quickly send messages to groups of students as well as teachers or families.

As I have been working through Module 1, I have updated Labels.  I use labels to organize communication by school district and projects.  I have also created very specific labels to manage contacts.  I had lots of labels before; now they have been stream-lined.
