Although I've used gmail personally, our school is finally transitioning to it next year. I'm excited to be able to label emails so I don't have to search for that ONE email I need to find that's buried somewhere within all the others. And if I can't remember who sent the email......it's a crapshoot if I find the email at all. Gmail will be so much easier for tracking down those long-lost emails. It's also nice if I'm in a group email that I can hide all the previous comments or even "mute" myself.
I already have groups in my current email server, but with gmail it'll be even easier. I also like how it automatically saves email addresses from the emails I receive. That way if someone emails me and I don't "save" it, it'll still be in my history. Gmail offers so many options compared to Outlook that my school currently uses. I'm looking forward to the transition.
