I do not teach in a classroom but work with parents who are home schooling their children. Being able to put contacts into specific groups will help me communicate with parents who are interested in specialized subjects. Learning how to create a task list, and being able to email that to myself and my co-worker will help us be more efficient and organized when planning for our families.
