The option to utilize Google Calendar and Gmail has now been integrated into Iowa's online IEP system. People can go to their Organizer and choose Google Calendar to schedule an IEP meeting and use Gmail to communicate with IEP team members using Gmail Contacts or Group Contacts. This system makes the scheduling of IEPs much more efficient and streamlined.
I totally agree with this post. This year is the first time I've used Google calendar to invite teachers, students, parents, AEA, and other outside services to IEP meetings. Using the Google calendar has made the process of inviting people to attend IEP meetings much easier.
