I am not currently in a classroom, but I can see how using G-mail would be very beneficial in communicating with parents. Using the contacts to keep a list of parent emails and develop group emails to send home assignments. I would use the labels to keep track of emails with specific parents. I used to teach special education, so using the task and calendar to keep track of IEP goals and meetings would be very beneficial.
