Gmail

Typically, I use a Mac email program, however, I am quickly becoming a fan of Gmail. The number of options and setting adjustments is amazing and it's ease of use is encouraging. My favorite so far is the extensive ability to label and organize with filters. Organization makes me happy.
Since our family does school at home and my kids are noticing what email can do, I am looking forward to tutoring them through Gmail's many capabilities. I imagine they will catch on quickly and enjoy the opportunity to start communicating with cousins a few states away. The fact that there is a chat feature is also a bonus. I feel this is a much safer way to chat and avoid the ads and news of FB or other social media sites. Plus that means less distractions for them and me!
In addition, I'm excited to try this venue for a homeschool group I am part of. It is a fairly large and active group. Therefore, I'm hopeful Gmail can help me organize our many contacts and conversations (and likely lessen the annoyance level of my husband, who shares my past account.)
