I work as a para-educator and also sub for my special education teacher, so being able to use my Gmail account for business and personal is very helpful. My teacher can email me what her lesson plans for the day will be if she is gone. If we are both there, she can communicate important information on students or lesson changes since there is very little time to actually talk. Our students aren't able to use the email accounts yet, but Google Classroom is so wonderful.
