Gmail use in the classroom

Gmail calendar could be used to set up IEP meetings or any parent meeting.  Could also be used to remind parents and students when projects are due.

A chat group could be created and used for literature circles for questions and responses.

Tasks can be used to create jobs for students to do while you are gone/there is a substitute in the classroom.

A class news letters/updates can be sent through Gmail by creating a group that includes parents in the classroom.
