Gmail - used to send projects to parents

I teach 2nd grade and all students in the district have gmail accounts.  Although students aren't sending emails to each other... they do send their projects that they make in class with their parents.  During our literacy center for "work on writing"  students create a story and send them to their parents.  I also have them send home pictures of our math strategies showing the steps to get to a particular answer so that the parents are in the "know" since we do not do a lot of worksheets in math.  This allows the parents to stay connected and to also help more at home since the steps are in the image that is sent.
