Gmail with 1 on 1 student

Using Gmail with a 1 on 1 student can be a challenge. I believe that my students should know how to do email. Depending on how they are or if you think they are able to learn. It will take time but it can be done. I taught a student how to open email, what you can do, and how to send emails. It took almost a full year but the student is able to use email. She loved to send her parents little notes about what she did in school or just to say hi. This helped when she wanted to go home or sometimes it was a calm down strategy. She also LOVED sending me messages. She also learned how to do Google slides and was able to send them via email to family and teachers.
