As an K-5 administrator I still struggle with giving my K-5 students a Gmail account. I believe that the success of this is dependent on the teacher who will be using this and the computer skills the students have developed which is also dependent upon the technology instruction they are receiving. Ours is still a work in progress. We have just added Chromebooks to our K-5 school and hope that we will develop tech skills in our students along with responsible use of Gmail.
