I have been using g-mail at school for 7 years. With my current position, I will be teaching students how to use g-mail. I really like the task feature. I think this will be useful to some students and staff alike. I also want to teach the staff how to create their own groups. I have groups created for them through the domain, however, I want them to learn how to create their own groups for the classroom. I plan to use this for my different sections of students that I will be teaching. This will make e-mailing all of them at one time a lot easier.
I also really like the ability to turn on the translation feature to communicate with parents in a different language. Our school currently has about 25% of the parents who do not have English as their 1st language. This will be very helpful in communicating with them instead of getting our interpreter.
