I think I finally figured out how to post on a Forum! This is exciting! I acknowledge the fact that I need to use more technology in my classroom and what better way to start than with Gmail! I am learning the many uses of Google Hangouts (Meets) for the classroom. Slowly but surely. I still have much more to learn, but with practice I think I can do this. At least now I don't have to ask a student to help me figure it out!
Concerning Gmail, I love the idea of having a Contact group made up of Parents. It would be so much easier to use this tool than to go thorough our PowerSchool system to email parents about what is going on in the classroom. I have tried using labels and filters for those emails I considered important that come from my administration. I won't have to search endlessly for a particular email among hundreds of them. Talking about that, the Archive tool is great! I did not realize it could organize and declutter my inbox so easily.
