Gmail is a valuable tool for communicating with students, parents, and fellow teachers. When I was an Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor, I often used it to communicate with parents regarding FFA activities, schedules, trips, etc. It helps to keep a record in writing to verify when you sent information to students and/or parents. Gmail is also often used in college and in the modern workplace, so I feel it's important to expose students to technology that they will likely use once they leave high school. I am thankful to have such an efficient tool like Gmail in my classroom!
