As a substitute, I appreciate when the Teacher uses Google to keep things color coded and easy to keep track of. Very helpful when you sub a few days in a row. Helps to keep students homework in the correct folder. If I was doing my own room, I would definitely use the calendar for assignment due dates, emails with parents and students.
