I do not have a classroom of my own, but as an itinerant, I appreciate the features gmail offers to help with organization -- my inbox has been a never ending list of messages and finding a particular message could be a time consuming nightmare. Folders and labels provide the means to get these emails organized for easier accessibility. Group contacts are great for requesting teachers of a particular student to fill out rating forms often needed as IEP documentation -- so to not keep recreating the wheel. Overall improved time efficiency is the reward --- and who doesn't need more time......
