Google: Gmail - In the Classroom

I like the integration of the assorted Google apps and the ease of using Gmail. I can see having my students email their writing assignments so I can edit them on-line and give them immediate feedback. I would also have all of the students email me so I could add their email addresses to a group contact for each class and send course information and due date reminders to the class. This would also be an easy way for students to create a group discussion concerning an assignment or project. While blogger would work as well, if not better, it would be easy to start and add to an email thread.
