Although I have been using Gmail for at least one year, I learned a lot of features I wasn't aware of through this recertification course, Google 101. After learning about labels, I created a student label, a parent label, and a Spain Trip label to keep a more organized record of those interactions. I also experimented with the filter option to automatically archive those messages that I receive from various online educational organizations - that way they are still there when I have time to go back and look at them but they aren't cluttering my inbox. Now that I know more about organizing within Gmail it will be a personal goal to clean out my account and start fresh with these tools in place.
