I have went wild for creating filters. As a school administrator, I feel so overwhelmed by the number of emails that I get. Through a mixture of labeling and filtering I am able to decrease the number of emails I need to read in a sitting. Ones that can "wait" have a label and/or filter applied. One example - if a large number of applications come through form indeed.com for a custodial position, I can filter these to go right into a folder. That way, I can set aside time on my calendar to review all of the applications at once, and in one place, rather than searching through my email for all of the applicants.
