I did not realize all the many things I could do on Google gmail for my personal and classroom use. On a personal note, I am seriously considering of changing to gmail from aol to help me get better organized with my emails. I have A LOT of mail to go through! :) As for the classroom, I am excited to use it to communicate with parents. As an elementary teacher, I had weekly newsletters for my class to let parents know what we did that week and will be doing the following week. I used a lot of paper and know for a fact that some parents didn't bother to read it. Now, I can go paperless to our environment and also keep a paper trail of parents reading or not reading my classroom newsletter.
I will now be teaching Spanish K-8th grade and will definitely use Google gmail to organize it by grade and students/parents as well as using the FORMS feature to incorporate more technology/different medium in teaching.
If anyone teaches Spanish for K-8th grade, I would love to get feedback from you on resources, curriculum, ideas, etc. Especially on how you incorporate Google gmail in the classroom.
Thanks!
