I have used some of the items featured in the videos, such as creating email groups for different classes' parents, and creating my own email signature and theme. I did appreciate learning additional useful tools like tasks, that can connect to my calendar, and labels, which I had never taken the time to explore. I would like to try using hangouts with my 5th graders, as a way for different classes to interact about the same project even though they meet at different times. This year's project is a wax museum, a la Hamilton, which will become a video. Several of the students' historic figures will be conversing with each other across centuries. I also see it as a helpful way to practice their public speaking/video presence. Would require quite a bit of support at first, as 5th graders can get carried away with the social aspect. I feel like the possibilities are broad if I just take the time to explore more. I appreciate the way Google builds intuition about its users to constantly improve. Found the videos very helpful.
