Google Hangout in the Classroom

My district is guarded as well am I in the use of live Hangout.  It could be useful if it is used as an archived lesson for a sub or for other classrooms to use for a demonstration or lesson.  Hangout would also be useful for collaboration among teachers and administrators if it is not feasible to meet on a site.  Sharing of ideas and strategies for educational purposes is excellent.  I believe there are avenues to use Hangout, especially when it is an archived demonstration.

As for coaches to meet with other coaches through Hangout or discuss topics with college coaches would be excellent too.  I suppose a teacher could teach a lesson from one side of the world to the other and it would definitely make the world a smaller place.  

Hangout is an area that can be great for education as long as we as educators protect ourselves and involve parents for support.
