I love this tool!
I have used the Groups before setting up email groups of students, counselors, teacher groups, class groups, and such. It makes it handy when emailing out assignments and notifications. The only thing I don't like is when I have to change it to add or delete students from the groups.
I have started to put the Group in the :bcc part of the email so the students don't see that I emailed everyone the same message. This way if I send someone a different assignment, no one knows the difference.
It also keeps a proof of record that the student did or didn't turn in an assignment. I now label the email for the appropriate assignment too so I can keep it separate to see that I have all of them or not.
