Google in my Classroom

Gmail is a great tool that I have come to utilize a lot in my classroom. My district is 1 to 1 district so all of my Junior High and High School students have computers on a daily basis. I use Gmail a lot to send class updates, lesson instructions, as well as daily materials. However I am excited to learn more about labels and categories as a more efficient way to manage emails coming in and going out. I would also like to explore more ways to incorporate Google Hangouts into my classroom. I feel like this would give the students an efficient way to communicate with each other, as well as with me. As an extra bonus gmail provides a quick and efficient to communicate with parents and colleagues. Its very easy for me to send a quick email to a parent with either something positive that has happened in my class or a concern.
