I work with reading for grades 1-3. There are several times a year when I have to be gone for training, so I send the same email out to staff to alert them to my absence. The canned response feature in Google mail will be handy to use for those times. I also like the idea of the google translator to use with parents of students that do not speak English. The labels idea is also handy - I will use it to organize emails into groups: emails from parents, PLCs, District Newsletter, portfolio items, etc. I have used gmail for years, but this class has introduced me to many features that I didn't realize were available.
