Google Plus (Google +) is another social media tool to connect to many in learning or simply socializing with others. Personally, I have a friend who moved several states away. This is his only way to communicate to all of us back in Iowa and elsewhere. I did set up this social media site for myself as well. I just need to do one more social media connection, Instagram, if possible (having major problems there). Getting back to Google Plus, I can see this as a beneficial learning tool for educators and students as they create circles of similar interest and then connect for learning. Google Plus does indeed have its pluses or benefits as it can connect anywhere at any time and one can connect or hangout with many using real time video or by simply posting pictures or text. "Both Facebook and Google+ encourage users to enter information about where they went to school. The difference is that this information is public and searchable inside Google+" (Powers, 2015). It appears that Google Plus has searchable qualities which must not be able to be seen in Facebook, which I will investigate. In my opinion, it looks like Google Plus is the best of the social media sites if one is looking to use a social media site to connect classrooms in real time. What does anyone else think?
