Course participants are to scan other responses for input. Interesting to note about rights and responsibilities responses: many are related to two-way RESPECT and maintaining personal accountability for posting content and style. But HOW can you legislate or control “norms” and values-based attributes?
That’s why the “frontier” analogy is so perfect. The Old West had “laws”…the cowboy’s code was unwritten, unspoken but often determined whether people would live or die!
Honest question--what do you think? HOW can we reinforce these intangibles? Will the internet always remain a lawless frontier?
