There are so many organizations doing good work that it can be hard to decide where to help. When I look at lists of
Popular NGOs in India, I usually look for transparency first. I think it is important to see exactly where the funds are going. While the big international names are great, I have found that smaller, grassroots organizations often have a deeper connection to the villages they serve. For example, groups like pard focus specifically on rural development and seem to know the locals personally. Does anyone else prefer supporting these types of community-focused groups over the massive Popular NGOs in India? I feel like the impact is often more visible.
