An incident that happened during my earlier years teaching was that a student had threatened to kill the president  on social media.  The secret service surrounded the student's home, notified local police, came to school, confiscated the computer, and took the student in for questioning.  Do to confidentiality no more information or the outcome of the investigation was  not shared, however the student did return to school.  .
