Inappropriate Digital Content

We had an incident just recently where students were using Snapchat to send inappropriate pictures to each other. It was reported to a teacher, who passed the information on to the principal. Sure enough, the police became involved, and a minor was charged for their inappropriate use. After this, our administration took action to educate our students on the legal ramifications that can follow from inappropriate social media use.

I think it is so important for students to understand that there are consequences of inappropriate behavior in the digital world. My son is in Middle School and some students were randomly taking pictures of people and then putting filters on them and mass texting the photos. This was without the person's (whose picture was taken) knowledge or consent.
