I feel I have been sharing a lot of anecdotes through my postings and through my responses to the questions in the lessons. Unfortunately, I have far too many experiences with stories of inappropriate use of the Internet and other digital media. I think the most common experience we all have with this is that an email loses voice, intonation, and body language. A message sent may not be meant to be inappropriate but it reads as such. I have had my fair share of YELLING emails, when somebody uses all caps to express their displeasure about something. I think people who would not normally be confrontational hide behind emails and texts and lose their filter. While digital communication is expedient and handy, it also loses context that a face to face conversation could solve more easily.
