Social media is the area that comes to mind when I think of inappropriate content. I am not "friends" with students on my Facebook account until after they have graduated and only if they want to electronically connect with me - I do not "friend" them.
I have some former students that have grown to be great friends of mine after they have graduated and grown into business leaders and mentors for the students in my classroom. However, some have taken some unfortunate turns with alcohol, drugs, bad language, etc. and I have had to "unfriend" them to not be exposed to their negativity or inappropriate actions.
