I remember when Twitter first came out and I joined the Twitter verse. I posted something that wasn't in my eyes bad. However, someone from my school misinterpreted my post and thought it was offensive. I was called into the principals office to discuss the post and how it had offended someone. I tried to justify myself, but the damage was done and I formally apologized to my colleague and took down the post. I learned a good lesson that day. Now I only post things that reflect my values.
