A couple of years ago, I committed a technological faux pas, similar to Dorothy D. I responded honestly, but perhaps too harshly, to a message regarding the conduct of a co-worker. Of course, it turns out the co-worker was included in the loop, which I failed to realize until after I hit "send." Fallout was immediate, with co-worker losing job and me (plus others) receiving reprimands for not following "appropriate policies and chain of command" regarding personnel issues. Needless to say, I don't text much anymore.
