Several years ago I had an experience where my students were talking about one of their classmate's snap-chat that said he was going to "b" slap his teacher if 30 classmates "liked" his idea. My students knew that he was referring to me and wanted me to know what was going on. After I found out, my administrator and I talked with him together about his post and that it was a very inappropriate way to use digital technology. It was a very hurtful experience for me and an embarrassing one for him as he hadn't realized that I would find out.
