Inappropriate Use Digital Media - Liz Flanders

I used to teach 4th grade and there were a few times we had some issues come up in the computer lab during our technology lessons.  One instance had to do with a student saving an inappropriate picture from the internet and then saving it as the computer background. Our school policy at the time was to send this child to the vice principal, who was in charge of disciplinary issues, and he would take it from there. This particular student received detention and was banned from the computer lab for a few weeks.

Kids know so much more at younger ages than I ever did!  Hopefully your situation didn't turn worse after.  Times and students are growing up much sooner than they did 20 years ago.  I feel like what kids do online  now can be so much more damaging to their health physically and emotionally these days.
