My husband and I are both teachers and both have social media accounts. On several occasions parents (who we are not friends with on social media) will message one of us with a school related topic/issue. While we both appreciate that our parents are willing to reach out and communicate with us, we find it very appropriate that they do it through our personal social media accounts. They all have access to our school email addresses are should be communicating with us through email and not by messaging us on social media.
