Inappropriate Use Digital Media

My daughter received disturbing/scary images on a text thread when she was in middle school for not answering her text right away. These were sent by a friend as a "joke" to get her to answer her phone. The experience was scary for my daughter so we went in to see her counselor. The counselor met with the other student and everything was worked out. But those texts ruined the friendship. My daughter didn't feel comfortable around the other student anymore.

Sometimes something funny can turn very bad very quickly. I would not want to have to try to make friends in this day and age. Social media and messaging make it very hard to keep quality friends!
