Several years ago I neglected to spell check an email that went out to a client. Her name was Chelsea and somehow in my salutation her name was auto corrected to Chesty. She just so happened to fit that description as well. While we laughed this mishap off it could've gone the other way quickly. Of course this was embarrassing and luckily my client wasn't offended.
I rigorously check my emails and other messages to clients before hitting that send button. I would advise my co-workers and students I encounter to do the same.
