My daughter discovered online gaming. She loved an online game that was when they would develop a village and learn to exist together. She never told me about the game, until she started to feel uncomfortable with one of the other participants. The game allowed offside chat rooms. Here is where the issue started. My daughter is an only child, so she yearned for someone supposedly her age to talk to. I’m glad she came to me, when the chats became uncomfortable. We as a family, came up with a list of things we would do when encountering a new site to join. With her being 10 years old at the time, we did create a parental guard on her phone that would not allow her to get on sites that would allow chatting.
